During 10 years in the US Army, owner Clover Langdale traveled to many countries, picking up diverse culinary tips along the way. Introduction to new ingredients, flavor profiles and techniques led to an exploration of how to incorporate these into her love of baking. Diagnoses of type 2 diabetes and sodium caseinate allergy in 2011 began a new trial and error processes and a commitment to perfect each of her signature alternative ingredient recipes. She has created a growing customer base of clients seeking sugar free, gluten free, low carb, and dairy free yet moist, decadent, and satisfying cakes. After medical retirement from the Army, Clover spent time using her education and skills in business and personnel management to assist in the launch and growth of several successful companies; but her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity told her it was time for a change. Clover’s education, diverse experiences and love of baking for friends and family gave way to a reality that began as a dream and is Clover’s Cake Creations.
